Hesburger collaboration

CarbonLink is cooperating with the Finnish burger restaurant chain Hesburger to help them in their goal of becoming the most responsible operator in the restaurant industry.

We have been working with Hesburger already since 2025. Our next focus will be in developing supplier management, where the emission factors of the raw materials used in Hesburger meals and products can be put under the magnifying glass, starting from the beginning of the value chain. Carbon accounting is quickly becoming a large part of business operations, as large operators are starting to demand transparency about emissions and a commitment to emission reductions from their subcontractors. In practice, this means that accountability requirements are gradually becoming a part of large companies’ procurement contracts.

Hesburger is an excellent example of a forward-looking company. They not only calculate their own emissions, but also build solutions that enable the entire subcontracting chain to develop their operations towards a more responsible direction.
